Angela Brinskele

Artist Statement

She was born in New Jersey but came to California at the age of five. By the time Angela was eight years old she was fascinated by photography and thought it was nothing short of a miracle. Years later, after learning every part of the photographic process, she is convinced of it.

She studied photography at Fullerton College with Albert DeVito, an art photographer and a Brooks Institute graduate. This was a great experience for her. She later attended Cal State Fullerton. Her photography instructor there was a long time photojournalist who hated her work. He regularly told her she should be more imaginative. Her favorite training was at UCLA when she attended classes taught by National Geographic Photographers.

Angela has worked in many styles of photography but greatly prefers taking pictures of people in the most natural settings possible.

Her feelings are well known to those close to her.

"Perspective is Everything." "Clarity is Essential."

Her work has been published in books as well as many newspapers and newsletters including The Los Angeles Times, The Jewish Journal and The Lesbian News.

Currently Angela spelcializes at Event Photography and Low Level Aerial Photography in the Southern California Area. She can be contacted at eventshots@aol.com for this type of work.
